It’s official – the Marc Jacobs Beauty collection is at Sephora stores – and, one of its items is already on Sephora’s “Hot List” for August.

The MJB collection, which is divided into segments with comical names, contains 16 different complexion and color cosmetics – plus four luxe makeup brushes.

The fashion designer described his inspiration behind the line, which stems from the spirit of ‘The Girl” and her makeup ritual.

Jacobs said: “I think the idea of transforming into this person you want to be is a lot of fun…it’s this idea of a young woman enjoying creating her look, getting ready for her night out, or her night after her night out.”

The collection’s innovative ‘smart complexion’ products are infused with technologically advanced ingredients that deliver buildable coverage, with amazing finishes. These products include: Genius Gel Super-Charged Foundation (shown); Remedy Concealer Pen; Perfection Powder and Featherweight Foundation.

One of MJ’s innovative colors in his cosmetics line is Blacquer – for the blackest, shiniest black. Find this shade in: Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Eyeliner; Lash Lifter; Gel Volume Mascara; Highliner; and Gel Crayon.

The color range includes: Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl; LoveMarc Lip Gel; Shameless Bold Blush; Style Eye-Con No. 3 and No. 7; Plush Shadow; O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tan; and Enamored Hi-Shine Lacquer.
